Get into your Body
This class will focus on getting in touch with the feeling and internal sensations of your body, while being guided in gentle, fluidic, movement sequences and explorations. We will explore awakening the senses and learning the essential spinal motions, building up to whole body movements and playing with oppositions, tensions, contractions, and expansions. The aim is to bring more awareness into your body, and to feel supported and balanced.
There will also be a focus on coordinating the breath with movement, to awaken our life force and circulate fresh energy. The movements will follow a circular, flowing, spiralling nature, that can help to create space within joints as well as massage the connective tissue throughout the body. This can all contribute to feeling more space, ease, and freedom within the body.
Movement will begin seated on a stool/chair, will move to the floor and then to standing – awakening the senses, short meditations, gentle movements, creative flow, and relaxing live music. This workshop is for any age or ability.
